will.i.am likes the new Daft Punk song, 'Get Lucky', because it reminds him of Michael Jackson, who he worked with shortly before he died.
The 'This Is Love' hitmaker was one of the producers who worked with the late 'Bad' star shortly before his passing in 2009, and says he can see Michael's influence on Daft Punk's new single 'Get Lucky'.
will.i.am told UK radio station KISS FM: ''I like the song. That song is classic Daft Punk and I'm glad, I like the font they used [on the cover], it's very Thriller Michael Jackson. It sounds like Michael Jackson's 'Off The Wall' and 'Thriller' stuff.''
He also said he likes the way the French dance duo - Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manuel de Homem-Christo, who dress as robots in public - have included more human elements on 'Random Access Memories', their fourth album.
He added: ''Its dance tunes, but they are very soulful. For the robots to get down with the humans, that's pretty cool. The fact they are collaborating with humans that's pretty fresh. I like robots.''
will.i.am also said he'd like to get together in the studio with disco legend Nile Rodgers, who worked on some of Daft Punk's new tracks, as well as some other huge stars.
He explained: ''I love that Nile Rodgers has hooked up with Daft Punk. I'd love to work with [Prince], imagine if I did that. Imagine Prince on electric guitar, Stevie Wonder on keyboard, Nile Rodgers on bass.''
