Anchorman fans don't just have a movie to look forward to this year.
Anchorman's Ron Burgundy, the San Diego newsman played by Will Ferrell, is about to become a published author with the announcement that Random House's Crown Archetype will release his debut memoir Let Me Off at the Top!: My Classy Life and Other Musings.
The legendary anchor - who once 'mused' that 'Diversity' was an old, old wooden ship - is to share his never before tales about his classy childhood, early years in the journalism game and pursuits of friendship and women.
Of course, the broadcaster rose to fame as the central character in Anchorman (2004), though Will Ferrell will reprise the role in a sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues coming this December.
In a press release reported by Entertainment Weekly, Burgundy said: "I don't know if it's the greatest autobiography ever written. I'm too close to the work." He also added, "I will tell you this much: the first time I sat down and read this thing.I cried like a goddamn baby, and you can take that to the bank!"

Comedy memoirs are becoming more popular and Random House were presumably buoyed by the success of Alan Patridge's book I Partridge, We Need To Talk About Alan over at Harper Collins. The book was particularly popular in audio format and Ferrell's book will also be available in digital form.
Let Me Off at the Top! hits physical and digital shelves Nov. 19. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues premieres Dec. 20 2013.
