Wilderness Festival recently announced the initial line up for this year's event, which will take place 10-12th August 2012 at the Cornbury Estate in Oxfordshire. Already confirmed are Wilco; Stornoway; Spiritualized and Rodrigo y Gabriela. Joining them will be Milagres; Lianne La Havas; Cloud Control plus many more.

The first Wilderness Festival was launched in 2011, by the same minds who conjured up Secret Garden Party and LoveBox. Festival organiser Tim Harvey said in a press release: 'Last year was the first ever Wilderness festival and we were thrilled to see that 10,000 others shared our passion for a new festival concept. This year, the festival is back and we're planning even more adventure as we celebrate the arts and outdoors in the beautiful Cornbury Park.'

Making a return to the festival will be the nightly banquets. Organising the feasts will be Israeli chef Yotam Ottolenghi, accompanied by the Michelin starred Fergus Henderson and Valentine Warner, who is well known for his BBC show What To Eat Now. Food workshops will also be held, as well as wine and food tasting.

There will be a range of outdoor activities on offer, which include horse riding; wild swimming (swimming in the lake on the estate); 3.5 mile fun runs and - new to the festival - foraging in the woods. At night time, the Royal Observatory will also be hosting star gazing sessions, in addition to a Midnight Masked Ball hosted by the Old Vic Theatre. There should be no danger of running out of things to do!

Wilderness Festival will be announcing lots more acts in the near future and in the meantime, tickets are available through the website.
