Hit musical Wicked is the toast of Broadway yet again after breaking the all-time Broadway record with a weekly box office take of $1.72 million (GBP952,800). The show, which features the 'untold story of The Wizard of Oz,' broke its own previous record of $1.61 million (GBP895,000) last week (ends24NOV06). In addition to being the largest weekly gross in Broadway history, the figure also set a new house record at Broadway's Gershwin Theatre, where the musical opened in October 2003.
