The actor, also known as Chip Esten, joined host Cedric the Entertainer to try his hand at winning the big bucks on Wednesday's (04Jun14) episode of the show and, after returning to complete his game on Thursday (05Jun14), he made it all the way to the $500,000 mark.
He donated the funds to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and explained the cause was close to his heart as his youngest daughter, Addie, had been diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia at the age of two. She underwent years of intensive treatment as a kid and the now-14 year old is in remission.

Reports have arisen that Meredith Vieira has been scheduled to leave 'Today'. The Hollywood Reporter claims that she will be leaving this June and that her replacement has already been established.
Whilst Vieira's contract is supposed to continue until September, it could be cut three months short. Today newsreader Ann Curry is already set to be promoted to Vieira's role of co-host, whilst correspondent Natalie Morales will take Curry's place as newsreader. Vieira had taken the role in 2006 and since then has encouraged the continued success of the show, which pulled in half a billion dollars in advertising revenue last year. According to close sources, Vieira had been contemplating exiting the show for some time but has now finally come to her decision, even though two weeks ago Today's executive producer had told The Hollywood Reporter that he was hopeful she would stay. As her youngest daughter prepares for College and her husband Richard Cohen continues to fight multiple sclerosis, sources suggest that her reasons may be solely personal.
An official announcement is set to come as early as next week. Vieira still hosts Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, whilst also having recently produced her first movie 'Return', about a female soldier's return from war.
The 'Today' show's news anchor Meredith Vieira is not expected to renew her contract with NBC when it runs out in September.
The news anchor, who has previously presented ABC's 'The View' and 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire', is reportedly reconsidering staying on the breakfast TV programme because of her husband's poor health.
Her current year-long $11 million contract will end in September and bosses hope they will be able to persuade her to sign a new one.

NBC is planning to add a third singing competition to the airwaves in early 2011 to compete with American Idol and Simon Cowell's The X-Factor. Produced by reality show mavens Mark Burnett ( Survivor ) and John de Mol ( Who Wants To Be A Millionaire ), the new show, The Voice of America, is reportedly modeled after a Dutch show, The Voice of Holland , which has beaten the Dutch versions of Idol and X-Factor. As the title implies, the show is primarily about the voices of the talent, and in the initial rounds, the celebrity judges, who also act as mentors, hear only the voices of the singers performing the same song and never see them. In a statement, Paul Telegdy, head of alternative programming for NBC and Universal Media Studios, said, "The celebrity coaches are passionate about discovering, developing and nurturing new talent. As soon as we saw the Dutch format, we knew this was completely different and really exciting."
