A Walk Among the Tombstones Trailer

Matt Scudder gave up his high-flying job with the NYPD after accidentally shooting dead a civilian while chasing away a group of criminals trying to rob the bar he was drinking in. Now working as an unlicensed private detective, this recovering alcoholic is enlisted by a man who wants Matt to find the kidnappers who took his ransom and murdered his wife. These kidnappers are no amateurs, however; they very meticulously choose their victims and it isn't long before they discover that Matt is looking for them. He may be used to taking down some pretty ruthless criminals, but he's never faced anything like this before and is constantly feeling as though he is one step behind his opposition. To nab criminals like these, he can't work within the law himself - but will that turn him into something he's tried so hard to avoid?

All The Boys Love Mandy Lane Trailer

Mandy Lane is a beautiful teenage girl at a Texas high school known by everyone as the most untouchable female in the school. When she is invited to one boy Red's ranch party along with couple Jake and Marlin, Red's girlfriend Chloe, ranch hand Garth and the only person who seems to be in with a chance of seducing Mandy, Bird, it becomes a competition among the boys to see who can win her affections and, subsequently, her virginity over the course of the booze-fuelled night. However, one person's desires seem to exceed everyone else's as one by one the party guests are brutally murdered and Mandy is left fearing for her own life when the killer makes his presence known inside the house. Things take a dramatic turn when the killer reveals his identity and the survivors are forced to make a daring escape attempt.

This mystery horror is a nail-biting gore-fest starring Amber Heard that is finally due for release in the US after being shelved since 2006. It has been directed by Jonathan Levine ('Warm Bodies', 'The Wackness', '50/50') and written by Jacob Forman in his screenplay debut. It will appear on demand this Autumn and in selected cinemas on October 11th 2013.

Monsters Review

Extraordinary
For an alien-creature thriller, this film has such an unusual tone that it immediately takes us aback, focussing far more on the characters than the monsters. The result is like District 9 crossed with Right at Your Door. Yes, it's that good.

Andrew (McNairy) is a photographer covering the six-year-long alien infestation of Central America. Annoyingly, his work is sidetracked when he's assigned to escort his boss' daughter Sam (Able) back to the US before he's even seen one of the gigantic spider-squid things in person. But their travel plans go awry, and they miss the last ferry around the "infected zone", namely northern Mexico. Can they get through on foot instead, escorted by a network of armed human traffickers? And why are they carrying gasmasks?

All The Boys Love Mandy Lane Review

Unbearable
Amber Heard. She's a gorgeous, stunning young actress -- only 22 -- and her career is exploding this year. Landing lead roles in Never Back Down, the upcoming Pineapple Express, and this film, All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, she's gone from obscurity to stardom. But her blossoming career merely demonstrates that an actor's success is not really dictated by talent, but by aggressive publicists.

Here, Heard plays the title character, Mandy Lane. She's a junior at a small town Texas high school, and the embodiment of every boy's fantasy. As the film opens, Mandy and her best friend, Emmet (Michael Welch), go to a party where the school jock, Dylan (Adam Powell), leaps from his roof to impress Mandy, but misses the swimming pool below. The concrete doesn't have much mercy. His untimely death comes into play later in the movie.
