THE White Stripes frontman Jack White is adamant his new supergroup The Raconteurs will remain his priority for the foreseeable future. White, who formed The Raconteurs with Brendan Benson and The Greenhornes rockers JACK LAWRENCE and PATRICK KEELER last year (05), claims the band was born fully-formed with their first single STEADY, AS SHE GOES and is destined to last. He says, "This is very much a long-term project for me. I always do what's comfortable to me. I always do what feels right. "This record (BROKEN BOY SOLDIERS) happened because I was passionate about doing it, and it's very much long-term for me. "Besides, I could never shoot the bass player in The White Stripes (because there wasn't one) - this band gives me the opportunity."
