Rockers the White Stripes are facing a possible copyright infringement suit for 2001 song THE UNION FOREVER - after sampling movie Citizen Kane.

The song, from the band's 2001 WHITE BLOOD CELLS album, takes its title and most of its lyrics from the 1941 Orson Welles film, but it is credited to the White Stripes.

Warner Brothers, which owns the distribution rights to the film, is currently reviewing the matter.
