Wedding Crashers star Jane Seymour has discovered a downside to her Order of the British Empire (OBE) honour - she can rarely wear the medal out in public.
The Queen presented the actress with the "gong" in 1999, but Seymour admits it mostly sits in a box at her home in Los Angeles - because high society rules forbid her from pinning it to a dress for regular parties and Hollywood launches.
Showing off her medal during an appearance on U.S. news show Access Hollywood Live on Friday (18Feb11), she explained, "(I can only wear it) if people are wearing tiaras and white tie and tails. There's only one white-tie-and-tails tiara party I know of and that's Elton John's. He does it in England. I think he does it for everybody who's been gonged."
