Police Shut Down Webbie Concert Due To Fighting

Rapper Webbie was forced to halt his gig in Texas after a fight broke out between audience members.

The hip-hop star was in the middle of his set at the Club 20/20 venue in Odessa, Texas on Friday (08Aug14) when fans started attacking each other.

A video obtained by Tmz.com shows a scuffle between a group of men wielding bar stools, and the brawl escalated when onlookers joined in.

Rapper Webbie Arrested

Rapper Webbie has been arrested on suspicion of battery and robbery charges.

The 27 year old was taken into custody in his native Baton Rouge, Louisiana in the early hours of Thursday (14Sep12) after allegedly kicking a woman down a flight of stairs at the Chase Suite Hotel and snatching $340 (Gbp212.50) from her purse.

He was released after posting $9,000 (Gbp5,625) bail.

A representative for the hip-hop star claims Webbie is innocent and plans to fight the allegations, according to Tmz.com.

Police Hunt Men Suspected In Lil Phat Shooting

19-year-old rap up and comer Lil Phat has been involved in a shooting incident outside a hospital in Sandy Springs, Atlanta, after which he sadly passed away.

The young musician was found in a parked car on the second level of the parking deck of the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He was declared dead once inside the hospital.

Is Lil Phat Dead? Unfortunately, The Answer Is Yes

The rapper Lil' Phat has been shot dead in Atlanta. The Atlanta Journal Constitution broke the news that the 19 year-old hip-hop star had been shot at around 6:40pm yesterday (June 7, 2012) close to Northside Hospital Women's Centre, "in the 1001 block of Johnson Ferry Road." His car was found nearby, parked in an area close to the center.

Witnesses told police that they saw two black males running away from the scene of the fatal shooting. Police spokesman Capt. Steve Rose said that they were looking for one short man, who was wearing a red t shirt and another taller man dressed all in black. Lil' Phat was taken to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead at the scene. It is currently unknown whether or not the incident will have been captured on the center's CCTV cameras.

Rapper Webbie is in trouble with the law again after he was arrested on suspicion of drug possession on Monday (04Apr11).

The hip-hop star was detained by cops in Nashville, Tennessee after police pulled over a car he was riding in and allegedly found two ounces (2.8 kilograms) of marijuana on his person.

Webbie, real name is Webster Gradney, Jr., also faces tampering with evidence charges after reportedly throwing marijuana out of the car window.

Another passenger faces a gun charge, while the driver was charged with driving with a suspended license.

Cops Called To Webbie Gig

Police were called to a club in Illinois in the early hours of Sunday morning (03Apr11) after a Webbie concert descended into chaos.

More than 40 cops attended the Blackmon's Plaza venue in East St. Louis after gunshots were reported following the rapper's performance.

A fight is said to have broken out at the club with just two security guards struggling to control the crowd - and one of the staff was shot in the chaos.

Detective Michael Floore tells The Belleville News-Democrat, "A rapper was in town and was at the club. A fight broke out inside. There were two security guards inside. At this time it appears that one guard was using his weapon on a patron that he was fighting with. And the gun went off striking the other security guard."

Rapper Webbie sparked riots after he failed to show up for his planned gig in Texas on Saturday (20Nov10) - one fan was arrested and two police officers were injured during the chaos.

The hip-hop star was scheduled to take to the stage at The Ranch venue in Waco but he never arrived for the show, leaving fans fuming.

The city's entire police department was called to control the crowds after reports of fighting and gunfire, and the incident resulted in one officer sustaining a broken rib and another spraining his wrist.

A 20-year-old man was charged with assault and resisting arrest following the night's drama, according to AllHipHop.com.

Stabbing Brings Webbie Gig To Abrupt End

Rapper Webbie's concert in Florida over the weekend (28Dec08) was marred by violence - leaving one person in hospital suffering from stab wounds.


The hip-hop star performed in Boca Raton hotspot Club Pulse in Florida on Thursday (27Nov08), where around 700 fans had gathered to watch the MC in concert.


But the event came to an abrupt end in the early hours of Friday (28Nov08) when police were called to the scene after reports of gunshots being fired just outside the venue.


One man was found with knife wounds and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. No one was found shot and no other injuries have been reported.

Rapper Webbie has been arrested following a dangerous high-speed police chase through Hattiesburg, Mississippi.


The hip-hop star, 23, allegedly refused to stop for a routine police traffic stop on Sunday (14Sep08).


According to police reports, the star - real name Webster Gradney Jr. - ignored the police officer's flashing lights and began driving erratically before crashing into a black 1999 Mercury Cougar.


It is not the star's only legal issue - he is being sued by several promoters for taking money for an appearance, but failing to turn up.

Lil' Boosie And Webbie Sued For Another Breach Of Contract

Rappers LIL' BOOSIE and Webbie are facing more legal action after reportedly failing to show for a 2007 concert in Mississippi.


Promoters at Big Mike Productions and A R Bookings filed papers in the Federal District Court of Mississippi last Friday (30May08), alleging the two stars failed to perform at Big Mike's First Annual Hip-Hop Fest in the Delta in November 2007.


The lawsuit names Lil' Boosie and Webbie's management firm Trill Management as the defendants.


The two gig promoters are seeking compensation for their loss of promotional costs and booking fees, as well as other expenses, reports AllHipHop.com.
