Ever stumble across a video on the internet and wonder, "I don't know how I ended up on this, but I like it!" Because that tends to be the feeling ou get when you happen to stumble upon the video for Ontario rockers Zeus' latest video for 'Are You Gonna Waste My Time.' It's got puppets, dogs and even a chicken playing the keyboards - you frankly couldn't ask for much more from a music video!
Whilst the video for the new single may look like an even more disturbing 'Pumping On Your Stereo', Zeus' sound goes back way further than that, evoking the bygone sound of classic British rock circa 1974-1975. Rather than the typical Canadian indie scene as you'd imagine, Zeus are a refreshing blast form the past making solid gold hits like no one else does anymore it seems.
The good news continues on, as the band are about ready to release Busting Visions, their second LP and much anticipated follow up to 2010's Polaris Prize-nominated debut Say Us.
Having released the 'Are You Gonna Waste My Time' single in late June, the album 'Burst Visions' is set to follow on August 13th 2012 through So Recordings. You can expect the rest of 2012 to all but belong to these Canadians.
