The Sound of Arrows' new single, Magic, will be released on August 14th 2011 and is their second single from their upcoming untitled debut album, released through Geffen Records. Magic follows on from the Swedish duo's last single, 'Nova', which was released in April 2011.
The video for Magic was directed by Oskar Gullstrand and Stefan Storm - aka The Sound Of Arrows - and Andreas Thman. It is a mini-movie about two young children who wake up one morning to find that their parents - and the rest of the adult population - have disappeared. The two spend their day playing and exploring the city, before coming across magical creatures who befriend them.
British newspaper The Guardian compared the duo's sound to UK electronic duo The Pet Shop Boys. The Sound of Arrows were previously signed to Swedish independent label Labrador Records, before signing to Geffen in 2010. Their debut UK single, called 'Into the Clouds', was released on September 20th 2009 and became one of the most downloaded songs of that week.
