Paul Thomas Saunders - A Luna Veteran's Guide To Re-Entry
A stand-out solo talent is usually hard to come by these days with most attention being placed one undeserved 'sensation,' so a listen to singer/songwriter Paul Thomas Saunders should come as a much needed breath of fresh air to many. Monday 30th April marks the release date of his highly anticipated EP Descartes Highlands through RT60, although fans can get an early glimpse of the album by streaming it over at his Soundcloud. A follow-up to the atmospheric 2011 release Lilac & Wisteria, his latest EP looks to take indie circles by storm the world over and frankly any acclaim he manages to garner of the coming years will be deservedly received.
It is not just his song titles that have an interstellar theme about them however, as his vocals have a celestial charm about them that are almost reminiscent of Jonsi or Cass McCombs at his dreamy-yet-dark best. Although only emerging from his basement studio in Leeds 2-3 years ago he has already taken his talent up and down the country numerous times as well as visiting the continent on occasion. He will be re-visiting the continent again soon as well as performing at a handful of UK venues in the near future, including The Camden Crawl and Clap Your Hands Festival in Paris.
Paul Thomas Saunders and his live band The Fever Dreams play the following UK/European shows:
16th April: St Pancras Church - London, UK (headline show)
21st April: Clap Your Hands Festival, supporting Loney Dear - Paris, France
5th May: Camden Crawl - London, UK
