Me & My Drummer - Heavy Weight

Berlin duo Me & My Drummer are back, with 'Heavy Weight', the spectacular new single from their forthcoming album The Hawk, The Beak, The Prey.

Elevated by vocalist Charlotte Brandi's lilting vocals and synths with Matze Pröllochs' off-kilter beats, the two combine once more to superbly create gorgeous layers of sound that strike the perfect balance between dance, electro and whimsical pop.

The video, a heady mix of light and colourful costume, perfectly encapsulate the style the duo is trying (and succeeding) to create. Director, writer and editor Stephane Leonard does a sublime job in presenting both Brandi and Pröllochs as exposed vessels as well as what can only be described as living pom-poms. The video is as colourful, yet brooding as their music and a great serving visual for the two-piece.

Having already received support from BBC Radio 1's Huw Stephens, XFM's John Kennedy and Mary Anne Hobbs, BBC 6Music's Chris Hawkins and Tom Ravenscroft.

Heavy Weight is available to download from the Sinnbus Soundcloud page for free, soon to be followed by the band's debut album The Hawk, The Beak, The Prey, which is out on 24th September 2012.
