Hot Chip release their new single 'One Pure Thought' on 12th May 2008, taken from the massively acclaimed album 'Made in the Dark' released earlier this year. With an infectious melody and frenetic refrain, 'One Pure Thought' has quickly become both a standout album track and live favourite. In 'One Pure Thought', Hot Chip have created a song that's immediate in its impact and lasting in rich musical detail. It's propulsive, effervescent, repetitive, rhythmical and intimate all at once. 'One Pure Thought' is uniquely Hot Chip.

Hot Chip have spent much of the last 12 months compounding their status as one of the hardest working bands around. Involved in numerous musical side projects, remixing duties and a running a record label. Already this year they have to released the ubiquitous top 10 smash single 'Ready for the Floor', followed that up with the critically acclaimed top 5 album 'Made In the Dark' and a sell out UK tour, meanwhile finding time to hop across the pond to play shows in Europe and America.

True to form Hot Chip will be hitting the festival circuit hard again his year, putting in tent storming performances around the world. In Britain they've already confirmed Glastonbury, V Festival, All Tomorrow's Parties (ATP Vs Pitchfork) and T in the Park with more announcements still to come.

Hot Chip's third Long player Made In The Dark is the follow up to the Mercury Award nominated 'The Warning' and is out now.
