After recently completing a short UK tour, indie rockers General Fiasco have finished work on the second album 'Unfaithfully Yours' to be released in tandem with their latest single 'Bad Habits' on July 30th 2012.
The track has the typical upbeat Fiasco sound with the vocal mix of singing and occasional normal speech that adds fun and individuality to the song. It is also a taster of what to expect from the accompanying album; a more mature sound than their debut, with less teenage angst and more lyrical depth. In fact, the volume of maturity is astonishing given that General Fiasco have not aged more than a couple of years since debut album 'Buildings'.
The group, who are Owen Strathern (bass/vocals), Enda Strathern (guitar), Stephen Leacock (drums) and new member Stuart Bell (guitar/keys), have certainly been busy this year going from performing a concert free of charge in honour of the Olympic Torch arrival in Belfast, to picking up a new guitarist and releasing their 'Don't You Ever' EP in March. Last year, one of the 'Unfaithfully Yours' tracks 'The Age You Start Losing Friends' was chosen on Radio 1 in 2011 as the Hottest Record in the World and also awarded with 'Best Song' at NI Music Awards.
