Fractures - Ride
Artist FracturesSong title Ride
Year 2012Genre(s) Alternative
Hailing from South London, indie rock band Fractures will release their debut single 'Ride' on May 28th 2012 via Distiller Records (Funeral for a Friend, The Blackout, The Ramona Flowers).
Their darkly hypnotic video featuring carnival masks and lots of coloured powder has also been released for this eerily melancholy track. The rhythmic tune, catchy chorus and black-clad Freddie Murray's huge, piercing eyes will have you utterly spellbound.
The track has been produced by David Eringa, who has previously worked on tracks by the Manic Street Preachers, Idlewild and Ocean Colour Scheme. They have been dubbed 'ones to watch' by NME and entered 2012 at number one on the Amazon Radio Charts.
Fractures (who are Freddie Murray, Matt Gwyer, Sam Cook and Gaz Southwell) recently played at Brighton's The Great Escape Festival earlier this month alongside Africa Express Sound System and Maximo Park and appeared at the HMV Next Big Thing Festival. They supported Gaz Coombes at Barfly in London in April and will also play at Camden's Aces & Eights on May 30th.
