Feeder's new single, Borders, is the lead single from their eighth studio album, Generation Freakshow, which will be released on April 23rd 2012 through Big Teeth Music. Borders will precede the album release on January 30th, 2012.
The video for Borders features Madeline Duggan, an actress best known for her role in the popular soap Eastenders. While the 'story' of the video is shot in black and white, the shots of Feeder playing in a forest at night are filmed in colour.
Feeder are Grant Nicholas (guitar, vocals); Taka Hirose (bass) and Karl Brazil (drums). They formed in Wales in 1991 and since then have enjoyed success around the world. Their first two studio albums, Polythene and Yesterday Went Too Soon, achieved moderate success in the UK but it was their third album, Echo Park, which was considered the band's breakthrough. Echo Park included lead single Buck Rogers, one of the band's well known songs.
Feeder have appeared in the UK Top 40 Chart with twenty different singles, making the band one of the most charted singles chart acts in the UK. They are also praised for their live shows. Feeder are set to play four sold out dates in the UK, which are as follows:
January 30th Lemon Grove, Exeter
January 31st Koko, London
February 2nd Kasbah, Coventry
February 3rd Ironworks, Inverness
