Warren Beatty and director Rob Reiner might want to reconsider their political plans after failing to impress voters in a new California poll.

Both are fierce opponents of current California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and plan to help fellow Democrats oust the former action man, prompting many to suggest they should run for office.

But a new poll, conducted yesterday (22NOV05), hints at the fact neither are considered Governor potential in their native state.

41 per cent of those polled viewed When Harry Met Sally director Reiner unfavourably, compared to 25 per cent who said they'd vote for him.

As for Beatty, who insists he won't be running for office against Schwarzenegger, 48 per cent of those polled viewed the actor unfavourably, compared with 16 per cent who saw him in a positive light.
