Heavy rockers Warrant are planning to pay tribute to late former frontman Jani Lane at a concert in North Dakota on Friday night (12Aug11).
The group will pause before performing Heaven, the hit Lane wrote in the late 1980s, and remember the singer, who was found dead on Thursday (11Aug11) in a California hotel.
Guitarist Erik Turner tells Tmz.com, "We never thought that when the song Heaven was written we would be playing it someday in the memory of Jani's untimely death. This is a very sad day for rock 'n' roll."
The tragic star's former bandmates released a statement on Friday, calling Lane "a very important part of our lives for a long time".
Lane and his bandmates parted company in 2008.
The actor will have his fifth outing as the secret agent in 'Spectre' this November.
The director faced some backlash when Redmayne was announced as playing the transgender pioneer.
