The Walt Disney Co. plans to Pink-slip some 150 workers on Wednesday, published reports said today (Tuesday). All of the layoffs will reportedly come at the company's film studio and music operations, the reports said. The reports come just one week after Disney said that it was cutting 150 jobs frrom its LucasFilm operations. The same units where the layoffs are to hit hardest have reported solid results, but reports indicate that Disney execs have concluded that they could be stronger still -- by streamlining operations and doing away with redundant operations. Shares in Disney, which closed Monday at an all-time high, were virtually unchanged at midday trading on the NYSE.
