Rapper Wale has opened up about his bust-up during a World Wrestling Entertainment (Wwe) match on Monday (31Mar14), insisting the scuffle was "nothing serious".
The Pretty Girls star was one of the spectators at the event in Washington, D.C., which turned into a real fight night when he became embroiled in a dispute with a fellow audience member who had been taunting him on Twitter.com.
After reading the messages, Wale approached the anonymous follower and had to stop himself from going too far.
He tells MTV news, "It was just a dude that was like, 'I'mma (sic) kick your a**. I better not see you here'. I was like, 'Yo, is this you?' And one thing lead to another, and I just kind of mushed him a little bit.
"Honestly, if there wasn't kids right there, it would have went a little bit differently, but I just wanted to be conscious of them. It's not to say it was the right decision. But in the moment, you know."
The rapper has defended his actions, insisting that he isn't the type of person to just let jibes go over his head.
He adds, "I remember when people used to admire real people that stand behind their words or are stand-up men. I come from that. I had to address him as such. It wasn't nothing really serious."
