Singer Vince Gill is hoping his hosting duties at the upcoming COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS will draw more fans to the musical genre.

Gill is currently preparing to make his 12th appearance at the ceremony, which takes place next month (NOV03), and he hopes to attract a more diverse fan base for country music.

He says, "It's a lot of fun and I also know it's a pretty serious responsibility. My main thing I want to have happen is for everybody to feel comfortable and for all the artists to shine.

"We don't get a lot of primetime television these days. It's important for people who aren't country music fanatics to reach out and give the music a try."
