If a picture is worth 1,000 words then Vin Diesel needs just one to answer those who called him out on the internet for having a ‘dad bod’. The Last Witch Hunter actor was pictured shirtless on the balcony of Miami's Shore Club hotel last week, looking a little softer than usual causing some to negatively comment on his physique.

Writing on Instagram Diesel said, ‘It is amazing the response from the journalists who I have been talking to for the last two days in New York. Today one wanted to see the dad bod. Haha.
I am wondering if I should show the picture... Body-shaming is always wrong!’

The actor then posted a pic of himself holding up his shirt and showing off his abs captioned, ‘The pic from yesterday... For those who wanted the show... For all the angels that love dad bod regardless... I will post an exclusive video on my Facebook when I am done with press today.’

The image has so far gained over 276,000 likes on the photo sharing site. Diesel is currently promoting his new move, The Last Witch Hunter in which he plays an immortal witch-hunter who must stop a plague from ravaging New York City.

Speaking about the role, Diesel said the film has helped him come to terms with the death of his close friend and Fast and the Furious co-star Paul Walker. “Death was a huge theme last year,” Diesel said in an interview with the Associated Press. “There was something therapeutic about playing this role after going through [Walker’s death].”

“The idea that someone immortal could be so melancholy. 2014 was a tough year for me in some ways — a lot of ways. Playing a character that was masking his sorrow — his loss — was very appropriate for the time, because that’s what I was doing in real life with the post-Furious 7.”

The actor also said the Fast and the Furious franchise will continue despite Walker’s death, with Straight Outta Compton’s F. Gary Gray set to direct Furious 8. “[Walker] took a lot of pride in this franchise and he’d be smiling down at the idea of us actually doing what we talked about, which is going to the 10th chapter,” Diesel added.
