Vigo Thieves' new single, Heartbeat, is free and available to download from the band's website. It is taken from their new EP, Heart & Soul (Part 1), the first of a two part EP. Part 1 will be released on March 5th 2012.
The video for Heartbeats was directed and filmed by Stevie Jukes and James Logie and features cameo appearances from the likes of Leo Mayweather (White Vinyl Collective); Jamie Keenan (The LaFontaines); Brian Henderson (The Dykeenies) and Clare Kelly (Suspire). The film focuses on shots of a diverse mix of people, standing in different locations, singing the uplifting lyrics of the song.
Vigo Thieves are based in Glasgow and comprise Stevie Jukes (vocals, guitar); Barry Cowan (backing vocals, guitar); Gordon Phipps (bass) and Al Jukes (drums). They formed in 2008 and released their previous EP, Love Is Dead, in 2011 to positive acclaim. They have received support in the form of BBC Radio 1 Scotland's Vic Galloway.
