UK pop trio X&Y unveil a black and white live performance video for their debut single 'This Love', which has been shot by Joseph Sinclair. The song is produced by Secaina Hudson.
This acoustic video kicks off with the band creating their own percussion by clapping, before launching into the charming piano and soft guitar of the rest of the song. Ben's breathy, soulful vocals are flawless in this upbeat but gentle love song; it's a perfect example of what a stripped down performance should be. A unique touch, the band don't appear to be using a traditional drumkit; merely what looks like a wooden crate and a single cymbal to create a simple but affecting rhythm.
The London-based band; who are keyboard and vocalist Ben, guitarist Ash and drummer Rhys; performed a live show at London's Scala earlier this month (March 2015), in support of headliner Markus Feehily, former Westlife singer. The band are currently working on their debut album.
