Glasgow six-piece Woodenbox are here with the video for their free download March 2013 release 'Roll For Me' ahead of the release of their second studio album 'End Game' due out on May 27th 2013 through Olive Grove records.
The video features several diverse looking young people dancing elatedly (and not necessarily skilfully) and in slow motion in the hallway of a building, with frequent cuts to a young child drumming on a tiny drum kit. The song is upbeat, although slow, with an almost contemporary swing feel to it that will certainly put you in the mood for dancing if the wonderfully cheerful video doesn't alone.
The band; who are drummer Nick Dudman, vocalist Ali Downer, guitarist Jordan Croan, bassist Fraser McKirdy and horn section Philip Cardwell, Chuck Dearness and Sam Evans; have also now released their new single 'Courage' which is equally as thrilling. Singer Ali has said: 'We want to create music that has a story behind it and is not only timeless, but is bold in its creativity and instrumentation.' He has also pointed out that it is their first collaborative album, going on a different tack from their successful debut album 'Home and the Wildhunt'.
