The Stowaways - Time For Change Video

Hailing from London, Indie rockers The Stowaways are to release their latest single 'Time For Change' on July 16th 2012.

Accompanying it is a heart-wrenching music video directed by Tom Brown and featuring the acting skills of Jamie Ellington, Oliver Richards and Lyvia Aylward-Davies. It's a sad tale of broken hearts and injured romances made all the more haunting by lingering vocals of lead singer Jamie and echoing guitar sounds. The rhythmic drum beat and bass line induces an empathetic lump in one's throat; a truly emotional masterpiece.

Not dissimilar in sound to Bombay Bicycle Club and Friendly Fires, the band members take inspiration from a variety of aritists. Guitarist Rudi was creatively inspired by The Police when it came to songwriting and lists blues artists such as Dick Dale and Stevie Ray Vaughan when it comes to guitar skills, whereas vocalist Jamie is influenced by more contemporary musicians such as Ed Macfarlane, Adam Levine and Orlando Weeks & Caleb Followill. 'Love the huge sound of John Bonham; bring that together with some groove orientated drummers, from Aaron Spears, Dennis Chambers to Stewart Copeland and Johnny Rabb', says drummer Steve and bassist Ash goes in a completely different direction, naming reggae as a significant genre which has contributed to the sound of some of their more recent songs.

As well as 'Time For Change', the 4 piece have revealed that they have already started streaming their following single 'Battles' which won't be properly released for a few months.
