Berlin duo The/Das have released a video for their brand new single 'My Made Up Spook'; the first to be taken from their upcoming debut album 'Freezer', which is due for release on August 28th 2014 through Sinnbus.
The video is short in Mumbai, India and features frontman Fabian Fenk mostly writhing around barefoot on a sandy beach. It seems that the people of Mumbai were not informed that the band were doing a video shoot; a fact that was made clear when he appeared in a flower stall miming along to his lyrics next to a very confused looking stall owner. Fenk ends up in various places along the streets of the city from a market to a paddock where some bulls were taking a rest, baffling the locals as he clutched an undersized inflatable ring. The song itself contrasts the amusing visual content with its darker electronic edge and echoing synth waves, and it marks a move to a rawer sound than their previous releases.
The band, who are Fenk and Anton K. Feist, have several German festival dates coming up this summer including Wolfenbüttel, Summertime Festival, Feel Festival and Dockville Festival, and 'Freezer' follows on from their last EP 'Speak Your Mind Speak'.
