Berlin twosome The/Das now release their debut EP 'Speak Your Mind Speak' through Sinnbus records alongside a slightly bizarre video for their gripping opening track 'Have No Fear'.
The video features the duo along with some mates generally hanging out, looking a little gothed up and vacant and smearing each other's faces with black facepaint, before each apparently waking in a bed outside, looking only vaguely confused. It's shot in black and white which adds an even edgier vibe to the track. It is a simple tune, with a fairly repetitive synth melody and slow, mournful vocals, but it is nonetheless infectious and a perfect chill out tune.
The band, who are Fabian Fenk and Anton K. Feist, were once part of the project Bodi Bill, with which they released four albums and garnered quite a fanbase in Germany. They are now proving themselves likeable right across Europe having played at various festivals including Germany's Melt, The Netherlands' Eurosonic, Iceland Airwaves, and Norway's Ekko Festival among many others, and been recognised by the biggest music publications and radio stations across Britain. As well as 'Have No Fear', The/Das' new EP will feature the tracks 'Keep This', 'Hope And Air' and 'Colin'.
