London artist Robin Romei unleashes the video for his recently released dynamic new single 'Vapours'; the follow-up to his 2013 double A side 'Effy' / '(WE Are) The Underdogs'.
The video opens with Robin and an attractive tattooed blonde girl approaching a crackling Bush record player and playing the track. It's an artistic visual frequently flickering between black and white and colour as Robin croons out his Britpop style anthem through a thin translucent veil of fabric, as the girl just ups the sexiness while 'smoking an electronic cigarette'. All this plus the images of flickering old TVs and static effects is a perfect example of the fusion between new and old - even the music is a mixture of retro guitar riffs and more contemporary synth pop vibes.
Robin Romei has been making waves since his double A side release in November last year and has been impressing audiences everywhere with European and US tours (the latter of which included Tramlines Festival) and, more recently, a more local UK tour. There's no word yet on a possible forthcoming debut album but with each single teaser we're getting more and more excited for what's to come from this talented British musician.
