Richmond Fontaine - Lost In The Trees
Alternative country band Richmond Fontaine will release 'Lost in the Trees' ahead of the release of their tenth studio album, 'The High Country', on September 5th 2011 through London based record label, 'Decor'.
Frontman Willy Vlautin says the track is 'a song about doing drugs in the middle of nowhere and getting lost'. The video stays faithful to this description, showing a man enjoying a drive through the forest until 'Lost in the Trees' starts playing on the radio. The man remembers back to his adolescence and getting lost in a forest with friends while high on drugs and gradually, he becomes more distressed until the end of the video shows him speeding through the forest.
The current lineup of Oregon based Richmond Fontaine includes Willy Vlautin (vocals; acoustic and electric guitars); Dave Harding (bass guitar, electric guitar, vocals); Sean Oldham (drums, percussion, vibraphone, vocals); Dan Eccles (guitar) and Paul Brainard (pedal steel, piano, vibes, acoustic guitar, vocals).
Outside of Richmond Fontaine, Vlautin, is also a published author; his debut novel, 'The Motel Life', was released in 2006 and has been turned into a major motion picture, with a release in 2012. It has been directed by the Polsky Brothers and is starring Dakota Fanning, Stephen Dorff and Kris Kristofferson.
