Welsh duo Remembering August have unleashed a tearjerker of a video upon the world for their newest single 'Stay'. The song appears on their upcoming EP 'Brother', and both will be released on October 20th 2014
In the video, Remembering August's male half can be seen on to phone to his girlfriend (the band's female half) who breaks up with him, before distractedly stepping in front of a car and getting knocked down. As passers by rush to his aid and paramedics are called, one stranger removes the boy's phone from his pocket and calls the last person he spoke to. Visibly distressed, his former girlfriend can be seen racing to his side with a look of regret as he's apparently pronounced dead. It's a sorrowful video for a pretty melancholy tune; the piano melody coupled with driving drum rhythms, gentle guitar and desperate vocal harmonies make for a dancefloor weeper.
The duo, who are Jessie Hallett and Luke Searle, met while both studying music in South Wales and soon joined forces with Amy Wadge, who has previously worked with the likes of Ed Sheeran and went on to produce Remembering August's debut EP release. With a handful of live dates coming up, the pair have also been visiting schools to teach various music classes.
