Brit four-piece Quiet Lions unveil their beautiful new track 'Are You Well' alongside a mostly slow motion video. They are set to release their new EP 'Surroundings' on November 4th 2013 through their own label TableTalk records.
The video, directed by Tom Barnes, features what first appears to be a loved up couple taking a country stroll while sharing an ice-cream cone. However, it soon becomes clear that they are less than happy when the girl flips out on her boyfriend for putting ice-cream on her nose. The rest of the video is a series of major rows brought on by small, usually forgettable occurrences and the ending is left ambiguous when the boyfriend walks away. The song is a slow put powerful number, matching the video's slow-motion intensity. It's stunningly melodious with resonant vocals contrasting against the quick, sporadic drum beats.
Quiet Lions; who are Michael Williams, Richard Thorp, Oli Austen (formerly of Jumping Ships) and Luke Holmes; are planning to release an album in 2014 as well as several more singles, but for now they are whizzing around the country over the Autumn for a handful of live dates, including several free shows and one show supporting Dan le Sac.
