For those familiar with Pete & The Pirates first album 'Little Death' they will know their second album 'One Thousand Pictures' was a long time in the making.
Having released Little Death in 2008, it was well received by critics and attracted the band many fans, so when years passed without so much as a single the release of the anticipated second album couldn't come quick enough.
Produced by Brendan Lynch One Thousand Pictures sees the band make a slight departure from their earlier sound; slightly heavier with nods toward more psychedelic sounds whist keeping it's melodic roots, for many it's a contender for album of 2011.
Having released two singles 'Come To The Bar' and 'United', their third single 'Half Moon Street' came out on the same day that we caught up with Johnny and Pete Pirate in a very busy press tent at Leeds Festival where the band were set to play The Transgressive stage later that night.
