Colchester quartet Ordinary Noise have launched a video for their new song 'You Are Here'; the first to be taken from their upcoming self-titled EP which is due to be released on September 4th 2015.
The video features a girl enjoying a glorious sunrise in the countryside, cut with black and yellow images of a gaseous substance spiralling beautifully. It's a perfect serene setting for this new track, with its hazy synth, laid-back guitar, soft vocal echoes and atmospheric drums that make for a tranquil, summery listen. 'The idea of this song is about the planet and how fragile it is', the band reveal. 'We were inspired by a video of the astronomer Carl Sagan discussing a photograph of the earth appearing as nothing but a tiny speck when taken from a satellite in orbit.'
The band; who are vocalist Lou Terry, guitarist Ross Connell, bassist Tim Tokley and drummer Jonny Poole; have gone far since the days of playing small local venues two years ago, and now get frequent airplay and slots at epic events like Hop Farm Festival and Great Escape Festival.
