London duo Neils Children have now unveiled the video to their song 'Trust You' which is set to feature as track three on their third studio album 'Dimly Lit' due out on June 10th 2013 through the French record label Boudoir Moderne.
The video is a simple performance video edited with frames in different colours like some sort of retro, pop art montage. The song itself oozes retro too; a kind of lo-fi, monotonous (though not in the least bit dull) drone reminiscent of early psychedelia. The vocals are a lingering echo of a tone which, coupled with the repetitive guitar riffs and soothing synth hums, are almost in danger of sending the listener into a deep trance.
Neils Children, who are singer and guitarist John Linger and drummer Brandon Jacobs, who formed in 2004 have returned after a three year hiatus following the release of two successful albums and several well-received singles not to mention some serious touring with the likes of Razorlight, Bloc Party, The Horrors and Klaxons. They are now set for a few comeback shows, celebrating the release of their latest album at the Shacklewell Arms in London on June 10th with further dates to follow.
