Electro pop band Le Very unveil the video to their latest single 'Playground', which is from their recently released EP of the same name. The track dropped on November 3rd 2014 through Zukunftmusik records.
The video features one girl slowly driving what appears to be her male partner mad, as she covers him in chewing gum, bites his hand, climbs on his shoulders, sprays him incessantly with a shower head, draws on his face, slaps him and other weird methods of torture, all as they set up a camera to film it. He finally snaps at the end of the visual and lunges at her as the camera falls to the floor, in what could be seen as a particularly troubled metaphorical relationship, with the melancholia of the song adding a dark undertone from the twinkling synths, harsh drums, powerful vocal echoes and psychedelic harmonies.
The German five piece are on their debut release, and this EP also features the 80s style track 'The Dive' and electro indie number 'Marching On'. They describe themselves as a band 'With a notorious tendency toward controversy', and with the ending of this bizarre video, we may have had a glimpse at just that.
