With the release of their second album 'Dirt' set to drop on September 7th 2014 through Snappi records, London quartet Katalina Kicks have unleashed a video for their new anthem 'National Hero'.
The video features the band going crazy on their instruments in front of a white photoshoot style backdrop as a series of anarchistic words, phrases and lyrics flash across the screen along with chaotic light experimentation throughout. The effect of the erratic cinematography gives the catchy tune an almost exaggeratedly loud punk feel - a vibe already present in the disordered drums that stand out from the repetitive guitar riffs.
With their new album coming up, Katalina Kicks (who are vocalist Ian George, bassist J Creswell, guitarist Harry Stam and drummer Jase Wilkinson) are set to promote it with a tour of the US and South America, plus a UK launch party on their homecoming in Autumn. The band released their acclaimed debut album 'The Return of Montague Rotter' in 2010 following their first single releases, which first gained them their overseas attention. Since then, they have landed appearances as festivals the likes of SXSW and the Canadian Music Fest.
