Folk/ country ensemble Field Report release a beautiful acoustic video for their song 'Evergreen'; just a snippet of their upcoming debut album set for release on May 27th through Partisan Records.
The video was produced by The Blind Club; who have previously worked with the likes of The Enemy, Charli XCX, Black Moth, Frank Turner and Twin Atlantic; and was filmed in Texas during the time of the SXSW festival. It features three members of the band stood facing each other and playing a stripped down acoustic version of the song against the backdrop of a sunshine soaked suburbia. The song is captivating; a serene lull which touches the heart with its soft harmonies, and the raw, unplugged effect of the guitar strings punctuated regularly by the shriller twang of the banjo makes their position in Texas all too appropriate.
Field Report is the brainchild of one Christopher Porterfield (hence the band name, which is an anagram of 'Porterfield'), who was formerly a member of the band DeYarmond Edison with Bon Iver's Justin Vernon and the members of Megafun. He is now a six-piece collective alongside pedal steel player Ben Lester, drummer Damian Strigens, guitarist Jeff Mitchell, pianist Nick Berg and bassist Travis Whitty.
