Italian quartet Drink To Me are set to release their new album 'Bright White Light' in the UK in early 2015, having already debuted it on Italian label 42 Records this year. They now unveil a lyric video for new single 'Twenty Two'.
It's a fairly simple visual affair; lyrics set before an over-exposed backdrop of the band standing together with the frontman miming along. But there's so much going on in the tune that it barely needs a visual outlet. The psychedelic whirs, eerie crackling synths and minimal drums make for a profusion of electronic chaos, and the striking contrast of steady, calm vocals makes it a truly stand-out proceeding.
The band; who are Marco Jacopo Bianchi, Francesco Serasso, Roberto Grosso Sategna and Pierre Chindemi; started out in 2002 and released debut album 'Don't Panic, Go Organic!' in 2008 through Midfinger Records. Since then, they have released two others entitled 'Brazil' (2010) and the very well-lauded 'S' (2012). Produced by Alessio Natalizia, 'Bright White Light' is already available to buy in Italy but international fans will have to wait until next year. Meanwhile, the group are setting out on tour on November 14th 2014 for a European run of dates.
