Following the success of their debut EP, Cornwall trio Auction for the Promise Club are coming with a new single entitled 'This May Hurt' on June 12th 2015, along with a uniquely shot brand new video directed by Adam Taylor.
The video is based on ocean imagery and features stop motion animation of a strange birdlike stick creation, making its way to a foil mountain. Featuring performance clips of the band, the visual is artistically edited with translucent overlays and graphics. The weirdness works seamlessly with the eerie, atmospheric guitars, made dreamlike by the high-pitched, rhythmic female vocals.
The single follows their first EP release which the band; who are singer and guitarist Zoe White Chambers, drummer Toby White Chambers and keyboardist and guitarist Perran Tremewan; recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. They are currently playing across the UK, with summer dates including Croyde View Festival and Looe Music Festival.
