Victoria Beckham has undergone laser treatment to get her tattoo dedicated to her husband David removed.

The 41-year-old fashion designer has been having sessions to banish the Hebrew inking, which reads 'I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine', etched down her spine from the nape of her neck to her upper back.

The tattoo, which pays tribute to her spouse, was noticeably lighter when the former Spice Girls singer stepped out at her show for New York Fashion Week on Monday (14.09.15).

However, this isn't the only tattoo Victoria has had removed in recent months as she's also had two designs - one marking the date she and David renewed their wedding vows in 2006 and another bearing the phrase 'again from the start' in Latin - zapped from her wrist as well.

The brunette beauty's decision to get rid of the body artwork comes as a bid to be taken ''more seriously'' in the fashion industry, according to The Sun newspaper.

Victoria and David, 40 - who got married in 1999 after two years of dating - have sons Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10, and four-year-old daughter Harper together.
