Former SPICE GIRL Victoria Beckham has again failed to score a solo number one, with her comeback single entering the British charts at number three yesterday evening (04JAN04).

The superstar - who relaunched her singing career with double A side THIS GROOVE/LET YOUR HEAD GO in a blaze of publicity - lost out to Christmas number one Mad World by Michael Andrews and Gary Jules, which topped the charts for the third week running.

Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne's CHANGES also retained its position at number two, whilst SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR - who famously beat Beckham's debut solo single to the top spot in 2000 after a bitter battle between the pair - saw her new single I WON'T CHANGE YOU scrape into the top ten at number nine.
