Vicki Gunvalson, the star of 'The Real Housewives of Orange County', says she is doing 'much better' after being released from hospital. The 48-year-old has been hospitalized since last Thursday after experiencing gastrointestinal problems, but doctors have reportedly now identified and dealt with the ailment.
Speaking to People Magazine on leaving hospital, Gunvalson said, "I am doing much better. I was released from the hospital Friday afternoon after the doctors performed a colonoscopy and found several ulcers in the colon that they were able to fix and stop the bleeding". The reality star and insurance businesswoman also spoke about how her daughter Briana had been by her side the entire time, and how husband Donn, whom she has filed for divorce from, was also at the hospital.
After experience marital problems in recent years, Gunvalson filed for divorce from her husband on 18th October 2010, telling US Magazine, "It's just too hard on both of us". The couple were married in 1994.

The 48-year-old businesswoman told fans on her official Facebook page, "Anyone who has gone through a divorce understands that this is a personal matter and a difficult time in our lives. Therefore we ask that you please respect our privacy at this time", before adding, "Donn has been an important part of my life and he will continue to be".
Gunvalson, who is one of the original cast members on 'Real Housewives', confirmed that she is set to begin filming the show's sixth season. The series is set to feature two new 'housewives', PEGGY TANOUS, and FERNANDA ROCHA, and will begin airing on Bravo in late 2010.
