Basketball icon and rapper SHAQUILLE O'NEAL is demanding U.S. TV bosses shut down production of his estranged wife SHAUNIE's new reality series - or face legal action.
Basketball Wives premiered last week (ends11Apr10), five months after Shaunie O'Neal filed for a legal separation from the sportsman.
Reports suggest the second episode of Shaunie's series will focus on the estranged couple's relationship - and that's not OK with the Cleveland Cavaliers star.
Shaq's lawyer, Michael J. Kump, claims Shaunie will violate a confidentiality agreement between the pair if the private details about her husband airs on the episode.
In a letter to network bosses at VH1, Kump demands TV executives halt production on "any further episodes of Basketball Wives which make any reference to Mr. O'Neal".
Bosses at VH1, the cable channel behind the series, had yet to respond to the request for an injunction as WENN went to press.
The O'Neals, who share four children, reached a divorce settlement in March (10) but their divorce has yet to be made official by Florida courts.
