Various Cruelties' new single, Neon Truth, is the final track on the band's highly anticipated debut album, which is self-titled. The album will be released on April 30th, 2012, through Hideout Recordings, while the single will be released on April 23rd. Various Cruelties are set to embark on a UK tour throughout April, to promote the release of the album.
The video for Neon Truth sees the band playing against a plain backdrop. Their shadows are illuminated against the background but if you look carefully, you'll see that there is one shadow in particular that doesn't quite match up to any of the boys.
Since rising to fame, Various Cruelties - Liam O'Donnell (vocals); Beanie Bhebhe (guitar); Adam Coney (bass) and Dean Valentine Smith (drums) - have been doing a lot of touring. Their most recent tour, in January, culminated in sold out shows at London's 100 Club and the Cockpit in Leeds. They have also performed on Later. With Jools Holland back in October of last year, gaining some new fans in the process.
