Vanessa Paradis was somewhat cryptic on the subject of her relationship with actor Johnny Depp when questioned about it at the premiere of her new movie 'Cafe De Flore' this week. The singer and the 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' star are rumored to have split after some 14 years together and Depp was noticeable by his absence from the red carpet event this week.
"You know, when I eat three peas, I'm pregnant. When I visit a city, I'm buying a house," said the 39 year-old, continuing, "In the winter I separate, in the summer I marry. It's been fifteen years since I've been getting married every year. In addition I have to answer all these rumors!" Reporters had also been pre-warned not to ask Paradis about her personal life, reports the UK's Daily Mail, but it would appear the absence of not only Depp but also their two children together spoke volumes.
Refusing to dwell on it though, a proud Paradis turned her attention instead to her new film, commenting "Cafe De Flore speaks of love, its joys, its pains and its dramas - to love and to lose. This story upset me, I was upside-down, in the depths of myself." Anything to do with Depp? "The idea of a soulmate is beautiful and very romantic to talk about it in a movie or a song, but in reality, I find it scary." I guess we won't know for a while yet.
