Classical violinist Vanessa Mae took out a multi-million dollar insurance policy on her hands recently, in case she had an accident while at a charity skiing event. The Singapore-born musician refuses to jeopardise her career without a financial safety net, so immediately insured her hands before taking part in the annual Wild Girls On Snow ski event at Klosters in the Swiss Alps. Sensible Mae says, "Even with a broken leg, I could still play the violin, so it's my fingers I have to take care of. "Outside music, skiing is my one great passion though it gives my manager sleepless nights!"
