Vanessa Hudgens has overhauled her short haircut and had hair extensions inserted during a visit to a New York salon.
Vanessa Hudgens has splashed on over a thousand dollars on hair extensions.
The 22-year-old actress had her hair cut short for her role as a homeless pregnant teenager in 'Gimme Shelter' but has now decided to change her style ahead of New York Fashion Week.
Vanessa went into the Empire 14 salon, located in the Chelsea district of 'The Big Apple', and had Great Lengths professional extensions added to her own locks.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "She had it cut into a choppy bob. The stylists couldn't put in super-long extensions because they won't hold since her hair was so short. Vanessa was super-nice to everyone."
Hair extensions at the salon start at $1,000 but can cost over $3,500.
Last month, Vanessa - who has been single since splitting from her 'High School Musical' co-star Zac Efron last December - was spotted kissing Swedish guitarist Felix Rodriguez at the Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach, California.
The pair got together after the Hurley Walk the Walk National Championship and according to an onlooker they were inseparable at the bash.
